The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information through the business and while you browse or use this website. If you do not agree to the following policy you may wish to cease viewing / using this website, and or refrain from submitting your personal data to us.

Email marketing messages & subscription
Under the GDPR we use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to our newsletter or marketing mailing list. We only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the "Processing of your personal data" above. Any email marketing messages we send are done so through an EMS, email marketing service provider. An EMS is a third party service provider of software / applications that allows marketers to send out email marketing campaigns to a list of users.

Email marketing messages that we send may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.

Any email marketing messages we send are in accordance with the GDPR and the PECR. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences / the information we hold about you at any time. Action For Fathers are a company that assists you, as a litigant in person with child access issues and applications.

A litigant in person is a person who acts for themselves in court with the permitted assistance of somebody to assist with the general knowledge that they hold, or an appointed direct access barrister or legal representative.

Staff at Action For Fathers are not qualified in law and do not offer legal advice or any advice. They do not advise, only give assistance on their own experiences in childcare custody and family life experiences

Case Direction
Our team, although fully committed to your case and dedicated to you, we are hear to assist, not to push you to push your case. We can only work as quickly as you help us to assist. So as an example, if documentation is sent to you then you must respond in the quickest time that you want the case to excel; If you do not respond for a week or two weeks and we have not received the answers to our inquiries then we cannot proceed. It is your duty of care to work at the speed that you want to progress.
Case Assistance
If during consultation, the consultant believes there to be a risk of harm or safeguarding to any persons mentioned or referred to during your consultation then the consultant on behalf of Action For Fathers will report any concerns to the relevant authority with immediate effect

Action For Fathers are not regulated by the Law Society or qualified in law
Should you require legal advice then you should seek this from a solicitor or other such legal regulated bodies.

Action For Fathers will not tolerate abuse to its staff and will terminate any case where this policy is not adhered to, without refund.

Fees
All works carried out by action for fathers are done so at £75 an hour rate across the board, which includes phone calls, case work, emails, reading time, text messages, any written assisted correspondence and or any other work in assistance, for you as a LIP or to a third party on your behalf therefor assisting you the litigant in person to help assist preparing paperwork with you. All fees are paid on account, in advance.

All work that is carried out by Action For Fathers is charged at the said rate and in real time and not rounded.
Any monies remaining on account is refunded once assistance has ceased. We do not advise only assist, and all direction decisions are made by you the litigant in person.

All of the time assisted work carried out for you is logged on your client account and can be viewed at any stage.

We encourage you the litigant in person to carry out as much work as possible to keep your costs down as our primary objective is to assist you in getting contact back with your child/children at the least cost to you as possible.

Action For Fathers only assists in child access issues and only to the first hearing and does not give legal advice or assist in the court itself.
Action For Fathers may continue to give side support after the first hearing giving invaluable support for you to relay to your legal team.

Action For Fathers do not deal in financial matters in family divorce or separation

Action For Fathers do not represent, advise or litigate.

Direct Access Barristers Action For Fathers do not recommend legal services but may offer assistance in sourcing a direct access legal representative in your area. In the event that you the client uses a direct access barrister or representative you do so taking the necessary background checks that the barrister or representative has are qualified and appropriate for your case. Action For Fathers do not recommend legal services    

By filling out the inquiry child access form on the Action For Fathers website you do so in the knowledge of signing a legally binding contract agreeing our terms, standing, conditions and fees..

Action For Fathers reserves the right to withdraw from any case where they may feel that the client they are assisting are not acting ethically or is using the services of Action For Fathers for other reasons other than honest conduct to gain contact back with their children. In the event of this action being implemented all assistance to date will stop and any remaining monies on account will be refunded.

Membership is available to clients who wish to speak to other like minded parents, who are or who have experienced child access issues or similar. On signing as a member you agree not to use detrimental behavior, solicit or participate in any activities that are not deemed in connection with our policies. Any member who acts outside of our policies will be struck off and no refund shall be given.
Strict polite and non vulgar policies along with swearing or disruptive behavior will also result in ones membership being revoked.

Consultations
When booking a consultation, if the consultant believes that the case is not within the company remit, they may advise you from the outset that the case is not one that we will support.
Also after the consultation period, the consultant may deem that the case is not one that they believe is being instructed for the right reasons
By booking a consultation does not guarantee that Action For Fathers will automatically take on your case and are no at liberty to offer reason or refund for refusing your case; As in return you the client after having had a consultation are obliged to instruct Action For Fathers

Safeguarding
If during consultation the consultant believes there to be a risk of harm or safeguarding to any persons mentioned or referred to during consultation then Action For Fathers will report any concerns to the relevant authority

Cancellation
You are entitled to cancel our services at any time you choose however you must be aware that all fees are still applicable for works that are proven to be done, even if your case is not finished and or if any court application has actually been processed admin fees will still apply
